Timber offers a warm, natural appearance. Species, profile and finish affect both looks and maintenance. Some timber changes colour outdoors; decide whether you want natural weathering or a retained colour.
Ventilation behind the cladding and carefully designed lower edges help prevent trapped water. Ask about maintenance for the specific product.
Low-maintenance cladding
Plastic and composite panels come in different profiles and colours. Low maintenance does not mean maintenance-free: dirt, joints and fixings still need inspection.
Compare specifications and request a physical sample. A screen colour can look different on a facade in sun or shade.

- Record brand, product range and finish in the quotation.
Compare samples outdoors against your facade
Screen colours vary with brightness and settings. Compare physical samples against the existing brick in sunlight and shade. Consider mortar colour, frame sheen and corner finishes. Ask for the product variant and colour code in the quotation so a general description such as anthracite does not result in an unexpected finish.
