Accessibility is more than having no stairs
Consider the route from the street to the kitchen, bed and bathroom. Thresholds, lighting, window controls and turning space are part of the same assessment. Specify accessibility requirements for the actual resident.
Choose a suitable residential arrangement
A senior home is not automatically a care dwelling. Clarify whether you mean an independent home, an extension of the house or care-related accommodation. Then have the proposed use checked for the address.
Include maintenance and adaptability
Choose accessible services and discuss future adaptations. A private kitchen, bathroom and services for a detached dwelling need a separate budget. The standard extension calculator is not a complete price list for this.

Check operation from different positions
Check switches, window handles and sockets from standing and seated positions. Include the outdoor route and entrance lighting. A single-level home does not automatically suit every occupant. Plan with the future user and have specific accessibility needs assessed separately.
